Julie McDaniel Service Excellence Fund provides cell phone charging stations to Memorial Hospital
(Gulfport, Miss.)– Memorial Hospital Foundation, through their Julie McDaniel Service Excellence Fund, donated 6 Kwikboost courtesy cell phone charging stations to Memorial Hospital. The stations are placed in common areas such as the food court, cafeteria, ICU waiting areas, labor and delivery waiting area and surgery waiting area. The charging stations will allow patients and visitors to stay in touch with family, friends or work while they visit Memorial. The charging stations can charge up to 8 devices simultaneously at full speed and are compatible with Apple and Android devices.
The Julie McDaniel Service Excellence Fund was founded to support the advancement of Service Excellence and to enhance the patient experience at Memorial. The fund is named for Julie McDaniel, RN, BSN who was Coordinator of Customer Relations at Memorial from 2003 until 2008, and was named Director of Customer Satisfaction from 2008 until her untimely death in April, 2013. During her career at Memorial, Julie actively and passionately promoted Customer Service Excellence throughout the organization, and her memorial fund continues to support her ideals in improving the patient/customer experience at Memorial Hospital and Physician Clinics.
The Memorial Hospital Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization with the mission to assist Memorial Hospital in “building a healthier community.” In particular, to develop philanthropic support for Memorial Hospital, Memorial Hospital patients and the surrounding community and to generate a high level of community understanding and involvement in Memorial Hospital’s vision, mission, goals and objectives.
