The Memorial Hospital Foundation has more than 20 different funds to help our hospital, our patients and our community.

Breast Imaging Fund

Provides financial assistance for women on the MS Gulf Coast who cannot afford breast diagnostic imaging services such as mammograms, breast ultrasounds and breast MRIs.

Burdonne Young Scholarship Fund

Provides scholarships annually to dependents of Memorial employees attending a college or university full time.

Cancer Fund

Provides financial support for patients who are receiving treatment for cancer at Memorial.  Examples of financial support are medications, gas vouchers, transportation needs, and medical bills for care received at Memorial.

Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Fitness Center Fund

Created to help address the priorities or unmet needs of the Cardiac Rehab department and the Fitness Center.

Emergency Department Fund

Provides funds to help address the priorities and unmet needs of the Emergency Department at Memorial.

Employee Crisis Fund

Provides funds to employees of Memorial Hospital facing a sudden and urgent situation. Assistance from the ECF results in a significant turning point or resolves the crisis.  The max award for this fund is $500.00.

Favre 4 Hope Fund

Provides financial support for patients in financial need who are receiving treatment for breast cancer at Memorial. Examples of financial support are medications, gas vouchers, and medical bills for care being received at Memorial.

General Fund

Provides general support for the Foundation including funds for donor recognition, communication and cultivation.

Heart Fund

Provides funds for the unmet needs and priorities of Memorial Heart Services.

Julie McDaniel Service Excellence Fund

Funds will be used to support the advancement of Service Excellence at Memorial.

Library Fund

Helps address the priorities and unmet needs of the Learning Resource Center.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Fund

Helps address the priorities or unmet needs of the NICU at Memorial.

Nursing and Allied Health Professionals Excellence Fund

Provides resources for a broad range of recruitment, retention, and continuing education needs to support nursing excellence at MHG.

Pediatrics Fund

Helps address the priorities or unmet needs of the Pediatrics unit at Memorial.

Radiology Fund

Provides funds for unmet needs and priorities of Memorial’s  Diagnostic Imaging department.

Randall Speck Pediatric Special Needs Fund

Provides financial support for children whose families have a financial need. Examples of financial support are medications and medical equipment.

Richard Hennessy Fund

In conjunction with the Auxiliary, provides medications for Memorial’s special needs patients.

Robert Cobb Humanitarian Fund

The purpose of this fund is to provide financial support for Memorial Hospital Employees who wish to volunteer their time and services to assist communities in disaster areas or areas in need in or outside of the country.

The Roy Newman Family Pediatric Fund

Provides funds for unmet needs and priorities for Memorial Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

ThinkFirst

This program provides helmets to school age children in grades K-6 and teaches them the importance of vehicle, bicycle, water, playground, recreation, sports and weapon safety to protect them from brain and spinal cord injuries.

Thumbs Up for Bill Fund

This fund will be used to assist oncology patients at Memorial with special needs such as medications, transportation needs, medical equipment and nutritional supplements.

Zach Seymour Memorial ICU Continuing Education Fund

Provides funds to support ICU continuing education programs at Memorial.

Respiratory Department Fund

Provides funds for unmet needs and priorities of the respiratory department.
