SPCSH Check Presentation 3 - May 2014

GULFPORT, Miss. — On Monday, May 12, Jessi and Becca Hebert presented Memorial Foundation with a check for $3,241.00 to be donated to the Memorial Foundation  Breast Imaging Fund.  Jessi worked together with the student body and with the Lady Irish softball team to raise funds for the Dollars For Diagnosis project, which began in 2011.  Since the inception of this program, St. Patrick Catholic High School has donated a total of $12,680.76.  This includes matching gifts from Butch Oustalet and The First, a National Banking Association.

Dollars For Diagnosis is a fundraising project at St. Patrick Catholic High School.  Dollars are raised through t-shirt sales, class competitions and other various projects, like the Lady Irish softball Pink Event.  Becca Hebert, now a graduate of SPCHS had initially started the project.  Since graduating, her younger sister Jessi Hebert has taken on the project and continues to raise breast cancer awareness amongst her peers.  The fund assists women in the community, receiving care at Memorial, who cannot afford to pay for breast imaging services.
