GULFPORT, Miss. — The Kiwanis Clubs of Division 14, an anonymous donor with Gulf Coast Community Foundation, and Memorial Hospital Foundation purchased and delivered a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to Pass Christian Middle School in Pass Christian, Miss. on April 10. AED’s are used to restore the normal rhythm during cases of life threatening cardiac arrest.

In 2008, the Louisiana-Mississippi-West Tennessee District of Kiwanis International began purchasing AED’s for schools in the three state districts. Since the inception of this program, 32 AED’s have been purchased by local Kiwanis Clubs for schools on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
