Players from the Mississippi Surge were at Memorial yesterday delivering teddy bears to pediatric patients throughout the hospital. The teddy bears were from their recent “Teddy Bear Toss” game in which fans toss teddy bears onto the ice after the first goal is scored. The bears will be passed out on the pediatric floor, diagnostic imaging and the emergency department to help calm the patients and ease their fears.
