The Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport recently donated $25,000 to the Memorial Hospital Foundation, to help purchase a new Pediatric Ventilator for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Memorial Hospital.

“In donating funds to support our work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hospital Gulfport with premature and critically ill infants, the Junior Auxiliary showed a grateful respect for Memorial’s community mission, and for our community’s children, and families,” said Dr. Ken Schroeter, Neonatology. “Their efforts help us to continue to provide the highest quality care to this most vulnerable population in our community, and we are a better community because of it. Our sincere thanks to the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, for their time, effort, and support, and for this donation to our NICU!”

The Junior Auxiliary believes that caring for a child today makes an important difference, not only at that moment in a child’s life, but for the future. This belief has been the driving force behind the efforts of the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport since its founding 59 years ago.
