Beau Rivage donated 20 children’s books, along with accompanying CDs, to the Memorial Pediatric Unit on October 25, as part of MGM Mirage’s Community Mpact Week. The donation was coordinated through the Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Jamie Traylor, Child Life Specialist, Memorial Pediatrics, will use the books and CDs to occupy the young patients’ time and as a way to relax children following medical treatment.
“The thoughtful donation of the children’s books from the Beau Rivage is a welcome addition to our pediatric unit,” Traylor said. “These books on CD are a wonderful solution to boredom and an excellent way to captivate a child’s imagination during the healing process.”
