GULFPORT, Miss – BancorpSouth has partnered with Memorial Hospital Foundation since 2011 running a regional campaign called “Take a Swipe At Breast Cancer” where customers of BancorpSouth can open up a pink debit card. With every transaction you make with your BancorpSouth Pink Card, a contribution is made in the fight against breast cancer.
Since the start of this program, the donations have quadrupled in size. To date, BancorpSouth has donated $5,654.44 to the Breast Imaging Special Needs fund and are making their mark in the fight towards early detection of breast cancer along the gulf coast. Their most recent donation on August 27, 2013 of $2,506.02 will assist approximately twenty-five women who are uninsured, underinsured and needing a breast screening, MRI, mammogram or ultrasound.
