Hope Haven, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting abused and neglected children, donated toys on December 14 to Memorial Hospital Foundation to be used by the Pediatric Care Unit of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.

“There has been an outpouring of generosity both out of state and locally,” said Karen Aderer, Director of Program Services, Hope Haven. “We’re happy to share resources with other organizations that serve children.”

The donation included age appropriate toys for toddlers to teens that included dolls, trucks, games, stuffed animals, purses, and workbooks.

Hope Haven Children’s Shelter, located in Waveland, has provided a safe refuge to over 3,000 children since opening its doors in 1996.
